A Celebration of Life will be held on July 20th for our beloved mother and grandmother, Martha Rezendes, who died on June 2, 2019. All are welcome to join the family - at a time and place to be announced shortly - in telling stories, sharing memories, and toasting her greatness and all that she was to so many! Anyone that knew her knew that family was her passion and priority. A devoted mother to Teresa (and partner, Lou), Joe (and partner, Lorna), and Kathleen (and husband, Geoff) and a loving grandmother to 11 and great grandmother to three, she thoroughly embraced life and all her loved ones. She loved animals and all God's creations and creatures, too; so much so that she could often be found with her son's pet snake wrapped securely around her neck! Yikes! At other times she could be found quietly reclining on her couch, glasses perched on top of her head, reading a good book while sipping a can of Coke Cola or heading down the highway with her dear friend Laurie to buy a catch of lobsters fresh off the fishing boats; yum! She also played a 'mean game' of trivia, often trouncing all other contestants and even driving them away from the game! Most of all, though, she cherished time with family, especially the 'grands'. Whether it was swimming in the pool, attending dance recitals or sporting events, playing video games, or vacationing, she was delighted just to be in their company; it was ALL such special and very precious time and the source of countless and fond memories.
