Shirley E Brown of Woonsocket passed peacefully on August 3rd 2016 she was the daughter of John and Agnes (Kinsella) Smith She is predeceased in death by her son James “Jimi” P. Tierney and survived by her loving children Edward L. Tierney, Lawrence M. Tierney, John P. Tierney, Kathy Brown Smith, Gary Brown and Melissa Brown as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Shirley is also survived by her brother John “Jackie” P. Smith Jr. Shirley was an adoring mother who loved to cook and care for her family. Always quick to smile and lend a loving hand to others. Shirley loved Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline and found Tom Jones and Elvis "dreamy." In recent years she liked pink pillows, peanut butter and coffee. She also lit up when any family appeared and gave hugs & smooches. Shirley Brown’s Celebration of Life memorial lunch is set for 11 a.m., Sat., August 13 at Chelo’s, 45D Newport Avenue, E.
