Alfred Workman Obituary

Blacksburg, SC --Alfred Lee Workman, 68, of 151 Dye Road, passed away Saturday, July 14th, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born in Mt. Sterling, KY, Mr. Workman was the son of the late James Levitt and Willa Isabella Blevins Workman. Mr. Workman worked as a horse trainer, served in the United States Army Reserves and was a member of Cherokee Falls Missionary Fellowship Church. Mr. Workman is survived by a sister, Jennifer Lyn Azbill and husband, Joe, of Hudson, FL, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Workman was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Workman, and three sisters, Lydia Liggett, Dorothy Johnson, and Daisy Caywood. The family will receive friends Friday, July 20th, 2012, from 1:00pm - 2:00pm at Cherokee Falls Missionary Fellowship Church. A memorial service will immediately follow at 2:00pm at Cherokee Falls Missionary Fellowship Church with Rev. Lucky Earls and Rev. Gregg Martin officiating. A service in Louisville, KY will be held at a later date. The family will be at the home of Penny Earls, 190 Peniel Way, Blacksburg. The Book of Memories is available at www.gordonmortuary.com.
