Blacksburg -- Annie Lee Neal, 94, of 409 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011, at her home. Born in Hickory Grove, Mrs. Neal was the widow of Marshall Neal and the daughter of the late William Lonnie and Lillian Earl Wright Edwards. Mrs. Neal was retired from textiles and was a member of St. John United Methodist Church. Surviving Mrs. Neal are three sisters, Gladys Stringfellow, Loretta Curtis, and Beth Dickson and husband, Gilbert, all of Blacksburg, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Neal was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Edwards, and a sister, Zella Byars. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 29, 2011, from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at St. John United Methodist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 PM with Rev. Don Boshell and Rev. Jonathan Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Terry, Jeff, and Jon Ziegler, Ricky and Kevin Upchurch, and Steven Halo will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to St. John United Methodist Church, 105 S. Rutherford St., Blacksburg, SC 29702. The family will be at the residence.
