<p>Kings Mountain -- Audrey Ann Lawing Biddix, 75, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 21st, 2015, at Testa Family Hospice.</p><p><br></p><p>She was born in Cherokee Falls, SC to the late Edd and Lydia Hampton Lawing on September 25, 1940.</p><p><br></p><p>She retired from Harris Teeter in Cherryville, NC and worked at Summitt Place and Morningside Assisted Living after her retirement. She was a member of Christ Worship Center in Gastonia and was previously a member of East Gold Street Wesleyan Church in Kings Mountain. Many people were privileged to have her as a Sunday School teacher. She also served on many church committees and worked with the youth and women's groups, as well as serving as a church board member.</p><p><br></p><p>Audrey loved music and wrote many songs. She was a huge Elvis fan and enjoyed attending the Elvis fan club meetings. She and her friends enjoyed fellowship at their "Club" meetings. Mrs. Biddix was also a member of the Red Hat Society.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her husband of 59 years, James W. "Nub" Biddix. She has two daughters, Cindi Biddix Smith and husband, Phil, and Penny Biddix Anthony and husband, Ed; four granddaughters, Kimberly Stinchcomb, Ashley Stinchcomb, Lydia Anthony, and Rebekah Anthony; three great-grandchildren, Kairee Sanders, Braelyn Littlejohn, and Channing Byers; and an "honorary daughter," Sherry Wilson, all of Kings Mountain. Her brother, Doug Lawing, and wife, Vicky, are from Blacksburg, SC.</p><p><br></p><p>Audrey loved spending time with her family from near and afar. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and several sisters-in-law that she loved as if they were her sisters.</p><p><br></p><p>The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2015, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Christ Worship Center, 3951 West Franklin Blvd Gastonia, NC 28052. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 pm with Revs. Jimmy Maney, Tim Barrett, Eddie Gray, and Doug Lawing officiating. Entombment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens in Blacksburg, SC.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorials may be made to Christ Worship Center Building Fund, PO Box 1434, Kings Mountain, NC 28086 or Testa Family Hospice, 321 Kings Mountain Blvd, Kings Mountain, NC 28086.</p><p><br></p><p>In honor of Audrey, the family is asking that everyone wear something red (her favorite color) to the services.</p><p><br></p><p>The family will be at the residence, 821 Oak Grove Road, Kings Mountain.</p><p><br></p><p>The Book of Memories is available at www.gordonmortuary.com.</p>

Kings Mountain -- Audrey Ann Lawing Biddix, 75, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 21st, 2015, at Testa Family Hospice.
