Benjamin Echoles

Gaffney -- Benjamin Lee Echoles, 50, of 192 Sizemore Road, passed away, Thursday, October 14th, 2010 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born in Gaffney, Mr. Echoles was the husband of Donna Upchurch Echoles of the home and the son of the late Horace Lee Echoles and Marie McAbee Echoles of Gaffney. He worked as a farmer and was a mechanic at McAbee Garage and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Echoles is survived by a son, Christopher Echoles and wife, Ashley, of the home; a granddaughter, Victoria Sky Echoles, of the home; three brothers, David Echoles, Roger Echoles, and Hambone McAbee, all of Gaffney; and three sisters, Lisa Mullinax, Dora Hamrick, and Jo Ann McAbee, all of Gaffney. Mr. Echoles was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Willis Echoles. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 16th, 2010, from 7:00pm - 8:30pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 17th, at 2:00pm in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Henry Guyton officiating. Interment will follow at McAbee Cemetery. Pallbearers Justin & Josh Echoles, Larry & James McAbee, Edward Martin,. Todd Addis Joshua Scruggs & Daniel Mullinax The family will be at the residence.
