Kings Mountain -- Betty Lou Taylor, 69, of 716 Sipes Street, passed away Saturday, July 2nd, 2016, at White Oak Manor of Kings Mountain. Born in Grafton, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Elsie Mae Feathers Severe. Mrs. Taylor retired from textiles and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving Mrs. Taylor are two sons, Lawrence "Jimmy" Gillis of Billington, WV and Westley "Buddy" Gillis or Grover; two daughters, Kimberly Sue Gillis of Grover and Kathy Ann Gillis Powell of Statesboro, NC; two brothers, William Severe and Clarence Severe, both of Grafton, WV; three sisters, Sharon Watkins of Bruceton, WV, Audra Williams of Grafton, WV, and Louella Williams of Altus, OK; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren., The family will receive friends on Friday, July 8th, 2016, from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street Blacksburg, South Carolina 29702.
