Beverly Selman

Chesnee -- Beverly Denise Martin Selman, 54, of 101 Horseshoe Circle, passed away Wednesday, April 26th, 2017, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born in Cowpens, she was the wife of Johnie Selman and the daughter of Matriel Martin Reid and the late Dean Martin. Mrs. Selman worked in Customer service and was a member of Iglesia Cristiana Casa de Dios y Puerta del Cielo in Chesnee. In addition to her husband and mother, Mrs. Selman is survived by three sons, Shane Marcelino Yañez, Kristen Devon Yañez , and Shawn Christopher Yañez, all of Spartanburg; two daughters, Adrian Nicole Yañez and Kayla Elise Yañez, both of Spartanburg; one brother, Marty Dean Martin of Dalton, GA; one sister, Pamela Lopez of Dalton, GA; step-father, Ralph Reid; and 21 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Rodney Wayne Marrtin. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 30th, 2017, beginning at noon and lasting all evening at Iglesia Cristiana Casa de Dios y Puerta del Cielo, 404 Richland Street, Chesnee, SC. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 1st, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Iglesia Cristiana Casa de Dios y Puerta del Cielo with Rev. Patricia Chavez officiating. Interment will follow at State Line Baptist Church Cemetery, 1328 State Line Road., Gaffney, SC 29341. Shane Yañez, Kristen Yañez, Shawn Yañez, Marty Martin, Joshua Lopez, Justin Lopez, Nicolas Gutierrez, and Christian Gutierrez will serve as pallbearers. The family will be at their respective homes.
