Billy Lee Sprouse

Blacksburg -- Billy Lee Sprouse, 55, of 106 North Calles Street, passed away Sunday, April 17th, 2016, at his residence.

Born in Gaffney, he was the son of Norma Jean Pennington Sprouse and the late Billy Joe Sprouse. Mr. Sprouse retired as a lineman and was a member of New Life Ministries Church of God of Prophecy. He was a US Army veteran. He loved his family and children, especially his grandson. He loved fishing and the Green Bay Packers.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Sprouse is survived by two sons, Michael Lee of Charleston, SC and Aaron Corey Sprouse and wife, Nikki, of Gaffney; one daughter, Kathryn "Danielle" Sprouse and fiance, Ashley Patterson, of Blacksburg; and one grandson, Mason Corey Sprouse.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 21st, 2016, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street Blacksburg, South Carolina 29702. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 22nd, 2016 at 3:00 pm at New Life Ministries Church of God of Prophecy, "The Church With The Bell," 809 Batchelor Drive Blacksburg, South Carolina 29702 with Rev. Lucky Earls, Rev. Barry Sutton, Rev. Robert Wells, and Ms. Danielle Sprouse officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. "Big Mike" Martin, Gaylan Pennington, Jay McAbee, Johnny Martin, Ricky Pennington, Christopher Harris, and John Pennington will serve as pallbearers.

Johnny Pennington will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

The family will be at the residence.
