-- Bobby Joe Wallace 74, of 15133 Highway 55 West, Blacksburg, passed away Sunday, September 9th, 2012 at his residence. Born in Blacksburg , Mr. Wallace was the husband of Retha Dianne Moore Wallace of the home and the son of the late Cletus Paul Wallace and Lena Boheler Wallace . He worked as an equipment mechanic and was a member of Midway Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. Mr. Wallace is survived by his wife Retha Dianne Wallace; and sons Larry and Michael Wallace of Smyrna; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Wallace, and two brothers, Max Wallace and Don Wallace. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 11 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Midway Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 12 at Midway Baptist Church at 1:00 pm. with Rev. Mike Wood and Rev. Billy Elder officiating. He will be placed in the church at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York, SC. The family will be at the residence.
