Blacksburg -- Charles Ivan Judd, 78, 125 Judd Road, passed away Monday, April 2nd, 2012 at Upstate Carolina Medical Center. Born in Thedford, Nebraska, Mr. Judd was the husband of Ruby Philbeck Judd of the home and the son of the late Edward Judd and Dorothy Herbaugh Judd. He worked in maintenance in the textile industry and was a member of New Buffalo Baptist Church in Grover, NC . Mr. Judd is survived by his wife, Ruby Philbeck Judd of the home; one son, Cecil Judd of Gaffney; one step-son, Wayne White of Blacksburg; one step-daughter, Jackie Judd of Blacksburg; three brothers, Jimmy Judd of California, Bobby Judd of Nebraska, and Gene Judd of Muedo, South Dakota; two sisters, Mary Lou Sorenson of Walls, South Dakota, and Joyce Judd of Washington; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Cecil Judd, Dwight Judd, and Noel Judd and one sister, Marian Judd. The family will receive friends Friday, April 6th, 2012 from 6:00pm - 7:30pm at Gordon Mortuary. Private funeral services will be held. The family will be at the residence.
