Charles Leach

Blacksburg -- Charles Thomas (Tommy) Leach, 66, of 233 Bear Den Road, passed away Saturday, September 25th, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born in Blacksburg, Mr. Leach was the husband of Rachel Rice Leach of the home and the son of the late John William and Nellie Pearl Carroll Leach. Mr. Leach was a veteran of the United States Army, he was retired from textiles, and he was a member of the Blacksburg Church of God. In addition to his wife, Mr. Leach is survived by a son, Thomas Franklin Leach of Blacksburg and two sisters, Sandra Kelly and Linda Bass, both of Blacksburg. Mr. Leach was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, and two brothers, David and Bobby Leach. The family will receive friends Monday, September 27th, 2010 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 28th, at 2:00pm at Blacksburg Church Of God with Rev. James Clark and Mr. Curley Lanier officiating. Interment will follow at Grover Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew Walker, J.W. Kelly, Jamie Kelly, Eddie Rice, Ricky Rice, and Alan Jones. Donations to Disabled American Veterans, c/o Department of Veterans Affairs, 1434 North Limestone Street, Gaffney, SC 29340. The family will be at the residence.
