Gaffney -- Charles Larry Martin Sr., 67, of 126 Millwood Lane, passed away Wednesday, October 26th, 2011 at his residence. Born in Rock Hill, Mr. Martin was the son of the late Charles Ervin "Bob" Martin and Eula Estelle Martin of the home. Mr. Martin retired from textiles and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in York. In addition to his mother, Mr. Martin is survived by two sons, Charles Larry Martin, Jr. and David Allen Martin, both of Gaffney; four brothers, Jerry Martin of Smyrna, Jimmy Martin of Rock Hill, Michael Martin of Gaffney, and Robbie Martin of Columbia; three sisters, Nancy Griffin of Clover, Heather Martin of Gaffney, and Billie Jo Smith of Spartanburg; and three grandchildren. Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his father, Bob, and a sister, Betty Wren. Graveside services for Mr. Martin will be held Friday, October 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Canaan United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Jamie Billings will be officiating.
