Blacksburg -- Christopher Darren Martin, 26, of 976 York Road, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2009 in an automobile accident. Born in Shelby, Mr. Martin was the husband of Kerri Harris Martin of the home and the son of Donnie and Debbie Broome Martin of Blacksburg. He worked in welding fabrication services and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Martin is survived by a son, Zeke Martin of the home; a daughter, Krislyn Martin of the home; and a sister, Denise Martin of Blacksburg. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 Saturday afternoon at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 15, 2009, at 2 at Hopewell Baptist Church.
