Christy Renee Hallo

Grover -- Christy Renee Isler Hallo, 49, of 102 McGinnis Drive, passed away Thursday, April 7th, 2011, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.<br><br>Born in Cleveland County, NC, Mrs. Hallo was the wife of Paul Brian Hallo of the home and the daughter of Lester Isler of Blacksburg and the late Magel Arlene Dixon Underwood. She worked as a warper in textiles and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Baptist Young Women and was a former youth Sunday School teacher. Mrs. Hallo also served in the United States Army for 6 years.<br><br>In addition to her husband and father, Mrs. Hallo is survived by a son, Steven Hallo and wife, Kathy, of Blacksburg; a daughter, Kayla Hallo of the home; and a sister, Lisa Morris, of Blacksburg.<br><br>In addition to her mother, Mrs. Hallo was preceded in death by a daughter, Ashley Hallo, and a brother, David Isler.<br><br>The family will receive friends Sunday, April 10th, 2011, from 7:00pm - 8:30pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 11th, at 4:00pm at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Vernon Craig officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.<br><br>Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.<br><br>The family will be at Lester Isler's residence, 148 Possum Trot Road, Blacksburg.<br><br>The Book of Memories is available at www.gordonmortuary.com.<br>
