Clarence Lowery

Cowpens -- Clarence Trandol "Scott" Lowery, 81, of 1543 Old Pacolet Highway, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2010, at his home. Born in Clifton, SC, Mr. Lowery was the son of the late Clarence and Ida Mae Guest Lowery. He served in the United States Army in Korea, retired as a truck driver, and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving Mr. Lower are two daughters, Bonnie Love and Elizabeth Caraballo, both of Cowpens; a son, Charlie Lowery of Gaffney; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lowery was preceded in death by a grandson, Andy Lowery, and a brother, John Baral Lowery. The family will receive friends Monday, April 26, 2010, from 2 until 3 PM at Gordon Mortuary. A memorial service will immediately follow at 3 PM in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Scott Lowery Funeral Fund, c/o Gordon Mortuary, PO Box 428, Blacksburg, SC 29702.
