Obituary for Dean William Jones

Gaffney -- Dean William Jones, 77, of 123 Lester Dr., passed away February 16th, 2013 at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney , Mr. Jones was the widower of Joyce Ann White Jones and the son of the late Lewis Brooks Jones and Julia Kathleen Gordon Hughey. He retired as supervisor in the environmental industry and was a member of Gospel Tabernacle Church.

Mr. Jones is survived by two daughters, Sharon Lee Jones of Gaston, SC and Kathy Brown McFalls of Gaffney; two brothers, Rodger and Rickey Hughey of Gaffney; six sisters, Frances Young of Inman, Carolyn Calvert, Julia Cooper, Barbara Mullinax, Sandra Frady and Vickie Shelton, all of Gaffney; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grand children.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was proceeded in death by a son, Dean Jones Jr., and a sister, Linda Mullinax.

The family will receive friends at Gordon Mortuary on Saturday, February 23, 2013, from 10.00 AM until 11.00 AM. Memorial services will immediately follow at 11:00 AM in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. William Blanton officiating.

The family will be at the residence of the daughter Kathy McFalls, 704 Martin Lane, Apt #7, Gaffney, SC.
