Blacksburg, SC – Donna Maria Coombs Weldon, 49, of 700 Lookout Tower Road, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2010 at her residence. Born in Glenn Burnie, MD, Mrs. Weldon was the wife of Michael Weldon of the home and the daughter of the late Carl Paul Coombs and Marie Wentworth Coombs of Brooklyn Park, MD. She worked as a homemaker and was a member of the Salvation Army in Shelby, NC. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Weldon is survived by three sons, Patrick Michael Weldon of the home, David Coombs, and Christopher Coombs, both of Glen Burnie, MD; one daughter, Cassandra Lynn Weldon of the home; three sisters, Patricia Wilmas, Verna Alton, and Mary Nilas, all of Glen Burnie, MD. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at 7pm at the Salvation Army at 305 North Lafayette Street, Shelby, NC 28151 with Sgt. Ken Bennett officiating.
