Blacksburg -- Doris Tucker Moses, 71, of 213 Pearson Street, Blacksburg, passed away Wednesday, November 14th, 2012 at her residence. Born in Gaffney, Mrs. Moses was the widow of J. D. Moses and the daughter of the late Wilson Preston Tucker and Clara Smith Tucker. She worked in textiles and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. Mrs. Moses is survived by three daughters, Rita Moses, Laura Bolin, and Donna Moses, all of Blacksburg; one brother, David Tucker of Bishopville, SC; three sisters, Shirley Henson of Blacksburg, Kay Parker of Gaffney, and Joanne Sullivan of York, and 4 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter, Debra Ann Moses; brothers Floyd Tucker and Loyd Tucker; and sisters Louise Deaton and Edna Tucker. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 17th, 2012 from 2:00pm - 3:00pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm on Saturday, November 17th, at Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Joel Hall and Rev. Doug Thrift officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Doris Moses Burial Fund, c/o Gordon Mortuary, PO Box 428, Blacksburg, SC 29702. The family will be at the residence.
