Dorothy Camp

Blacksburg -- Dorothy Broom Gregory Camp, 74 of 365 Burnt Mill Rd, passed away June 14th, 2012 at her residence. Born in Kannapolis, NC, Mrs. Camp was the wife of Charlie N. Camp of the home and the daughter of the late William Luther Broom and Beulah Mae Starnes Broom. She worked in textiles in the twister dept. and was of the Baptist faith . Mrs. Camp is survived by her husband, Charlie A Camp, of the home; one daughter, Lisa D. Gregory, of York, SC; two sons, Michael E. Gregory of Jefferson, New Hampshire and Richard A. Gregory of Rock Hill, SC; one step-son, Charles E. Camp, of Anchorage, Alaska; one step-daughter, Melinda Gonzalez, of Jacksonville, NC; 8 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jo Gordon and Doris Estes. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 19th, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Gordon Mortuary. Memorial services will follow at 2:00pm in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Chaplain Cindy Adair officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Interim Healthcare Hospice, 775 Spartan Blvd., Spartanburg, SC 29301. The family will be at the residence. The Book of Memories is available at www.gordonmortuary.com.
