Eber Joe Gallman

Blacksburg -- Eber Joe Gallman, 76, of 116 Leighton Drive, passed away Friday, October 9th, 2015, at Wendover Hospice Home. Born in Sumter, he was the widower of Marlene Dillingham Gallman and the son of the late Vanderbilt Gallman and Elsie Pinson Gallman. Mr. Gallman retired from Timken and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Gallman is survived by four daughters, Carol Gallman Ruppe, Charlene Gallman, Penny Gallman Jolly and husband, Stanley, and Connie Gallman Batchelor and husband, Lamar, all of Blacksburg; two brothers, Charlie Gallman of Mt. Airy, NC, and Ronnie Gallman of Gaffney; one sister, Frances Simpson of Lincoln, NC; and two grandchildren, Darrell Batchelor and Daniel Ruppe. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ray Gallman. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 11th, 2015, from 3:00 - 4:00 at Gordon Mortuary, 400 East Cherokee Street Blacksburg, SC 29702. Cryptside services will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens Masoleum at 4:00 with Rev. Roger Ham officiating. Morris (Blue Wings) Henderson, Johnny Bailey (Light Bulb), Darrell (Little Red) Hampton, Dennis (Red Bird) Hamrick, David (Hare Bear) White, Charles (Bandit) McCullough, Rubin (Bad Eye) Melton, and Ryan (Junior) Holcomb will serve as pallbearers.
