Gaffney -- Edward William Humphries, 49, of 234 Ross Street, passed away September 18th, 2010 at his residence. Born in Gaffney, Mr. Humphries was the wife of Gloria Broom Humphries of the home and the son of the late John William and Audrey Patterson Humphries. He worked in tire repair and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his wife, Mr. Humphries is survived by two sons, Timmy and Todd Humphries, both of Gaffney; two daughters, April Broom of Blacksburg and Melissa Broome of the home; a brother, Jim "Chopper" Broome of Rock Hill; and 10 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 9th, at 3:00pm at Edward Humphries' Residence.
