Emily Davis

Gaffney -- Emily Diane Bright Davis, 37, of 335 Grindal Ford Road, passed away Saturday, April 14th, 2012, at her residence. Born in Greenville, Mrs. Davis was the wife of David Davis of the home and the daughter of Wade Hampton Bright Jr. of Shelby and Linda Bright of Blacksburg. Mrs. Davis was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Davis is survived by two sons, Dustin Shayne Davis and Devin Ryley Davis, both of the home; a daughter, Brittany Taylor Davis, of the home; her grandmother, Gladys E. Stringfellow, of Blacksburg; a sister, Lorri Jeanine Gunn, of Blacksburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by a sister, Kelly Elizabeth Bright Hollifield. The family will receive friends Monday, April 16th, 2012, from 7:00pm - 8:30pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 17th, at 3:30pm at Lighthouse Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Gregory and Rev. Scott McCain officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Thomas Goode, Austin Goode, Caleb Allen, Bryant Williams, Chris Putnam, and Trey Putnam will serve as pallbearers. The family will be at Linda Bright's residence, 102 Brull Street, Blacksburg, SC.
