Gaffney -- Era Mae Gaffney Watts, 92, of 510 Thompson Street, passed away Monday, December 20th, 2010 at Brookview Healthcare Center. Born in Gaffney, Mrs. Watts was the wido of Thurman (Mutt) Henry Watts and the daughter of the late Oscar Fletcher and Mallie Jenkins Gaffney. She retired from textiles and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. Mrs. Watts is survived by two sons, Jerry Watts of Blacksburg and Mike Watts of Gaffney; three daughters, Betty Mullinax of Blacksburg, Joyce Wilson of Blacksburg, and Shirley Ruppe of Gaffney; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Amos Stacy, of Augusta, SC. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Watts was preceded in death by five brothers, Boyd, Leonard, Robert, John Henry, and George Stacy, and three sisters, Evelyn Childers, Zena Sue Stacy, and Marie Mae Stacy. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 23rd, 2010 from 2:00pm - 3:00pm at Eastside Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00pm at Eastside Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Bolin and Rev. Eric Sellers officiating. Interment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens. The family will be at their respective homes.
