Gaffney -- Eula Kay "Emma" Gilliland, 100, of 1434 North Limestone Street, passed away Monday, February 20th, 2012, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center. Born in McAdenville, Mrs. Gilliland was the widow of James Gordon Gilliland and the daughter of the late William Hovey and Laura Viola Garrison Kay. Mrs. Gilliland retired from textiles and was a member of Roberdel Baptist Church in Rockingham, NC. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Gilliland was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Kay Thompson and Leona Kay Jenkins. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
