Fred Anderson Mosley

Blacksburg -- Fred Anderson Mosley, 93, of 193 Mosley Road, passed away on Saturday, April 17th, 2021, at his residence. Born in Blacksburg, he was the widower of Ethel Wilds Mosley and the son of the late Barth Wells Mosley and Mattie Hudson Mosley. Mr. Mosley retired as a heavy equipment mechanic and was a member of Gloryland Baptist Church. Mr. Mosley served with the US Army, stationed in Germany. Mr. Mosley is survived by one son, John Robert "Bob" Mosley (Amy); three daughters, Sherry Mosley Rose, Cynthia Mosley Manning (Bobby), and Patsy Mosley Peeler (Tony); 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Anderson Mosley, his daughters, Ollie Bell Mosley and Brenda Mosley Smith, and his brother, William Thomas Mosley. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 20th, 2021, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, South Carolina 29702. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 21th, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Unity Baptist Church, 2300 Irene Bridge Highway, Hickory Grove, SC 29717 with Rev. Jeff Gilfillan and Mr. Lee Blanton officiating. Interment will follow at Unity Baptist Church Cemetery. Wayne Rose, Timmy Rose, Harley Ham, Scott Manning, Austin Mosley, Jamie Mosley, Lee Blanton, and Bobby Manning will serve as pallbearers. The family will be at the residence.
