George Griffin

Blacksburg -- George Eugene Griffin, 53, of 480 Garner Creek Road, passed away Monday, February 22, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born in Kings Mountain, Mr. Griffin was the husband of Loretta H. Griffin of the home and the son of the late Lawrence Pinkney Griffin and Vera Kathleen Dover of Kings Mountain. Mr. Griffin worked in textiles and was a member of Nazareth Baptist Church. In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Griffin is survived by three sons, Craig Griffin of Rochester, NY, Brandon Keith Griffin of Amarillo, TX, and Bradley Griffin of the home; a step-daughter, Angel Christopher of Bessemer City, NC; a brother, Billy Ray Griffin of Gaffney; and three step-grandchildren. In addition to his father, Mr. Griffin was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Dean Griffin. The family will receive friends and have memorial services from six until eight o'clock Friday evening, February 26, 2010 at Nazareth Baptist Church with Rev. Jamie Billings officiating.
