Georgia Shillinglaw

Gaffney -- Georgia Fulton Shillinglaw, 93, formerly of 408 South Shelby Street in Blacksburg, passed away Tuesday, February 1st, 2011 at Peachtree Centre. Born in Blacksburg, Mrs. Shillinglaw was the widow of Andral Zenas Shillinglaw and the daughter of the late Wylie and Bertha Wells Fulton. She retired as a teacher's assistant and was a member of the Blacksburg A.R.P. Church. Mrs. Shillinglaw is survived by two sons, David Shillinglaw of Cary, NC and Ron E. Shillinglaw of Charlotte; two daughters, Gail S. Byars of Blacksburg and Cindy S. Harry of Blacksburg; 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Shillinglaw was preceded in death by two brothers, Manley and Dub Fulton, and two sisters, Madge Justice and Blanch F. Gold. The family will receive friends Friday, February 4th, 2011 from 1:00pm - 2:00pm at Blacksburg A.R.P. Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00pm with Rev. David Rowe officiating. Entombment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Blacksburg A.R.P. Church, 404 1/2 South Chester Street, Blacksburg, SC 29702.
