Harold Davis

Blacksburg -- Harold Glenn Davis, 78, of 297 Wilderness Trail, passed away Wednesday, November 9th, 2016, at his residence. Born in Earl, he was the son of the late Robert and Ella Mae Rayfield Davis. Mr. Davis retired from construction and was a member of Midview Baptist Church. Mr. Davis is survived by two sons, Robert Glenn Davis and wife, Carrie, of Charlotte and Michael Todd Davis and wife, Barbara, of Blacksburg; one daughter, Deidra Denean Clayton and husband, Chuck, of Blacksburg; and ten grandchildren, four adopted grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. However, everyone on Wilderness Trail called him "Pawpaw," and he treated them all as grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Reed Davis, and his sister, Geraldine McKinney. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 12th, 2016, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Midview Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Mike Rice officiating. Interment will follow in the Midview Baptist Church Cemetery. Christopher Davis, "Little Chuck" Clayton, "Big Chuck" Clayton, Larry "Skeeter" Patterson, Patrick "Chief" Young, and Kevin Summey will serve as pallbearers. The family will be at the residence.
