Gaffney -- Heather Maggie Joe Motts, 22, of 201 Chandler Drive, Apt. 2A, passed away March 20, 2010 at 112 Brull Street in Blacksburg. Born in Spartanburg, Ms. Motts was the daughter of the late Gary Thomas Motts and Carol Lynn Motts of Gaffney. Ms. Motts worked as a cashier in a restaurant and was a member of the Garden Temple Assembly of God. In addition to her mother, Ms. Motts is survived by a son, Malichi Issiah Horne of the home; a step-father, Marvin Higdon of Gaffney; a brother, Gary Lee Jones of Blacksburg; a sister, Jessica Sharelle Motts of Blacksburg; a step-sister, Heather Davis of Florida; a paternal grandmother, Nancy Ruth Tucker of Blacksburg; and her maternal grandparents, Calvin Lee and Maggie Skipper Horne of Gaffney. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at Garden Temple Assembly of God. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3 PM with Rev. Danny Marshburn officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Heather Motts Burial Fund, c/o Gordon Mortuary, PO Box 428, Blacksburg, SC 29702.
