James Jasper Beach

Gaffney -- James Jasper "Beach Nut" Beach, 71, of 409 Wilkinsville Highway, passed away Monday, May 30th, 2016, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Portland, ME, he was the husband of Alice Jones Beach and the son of the late Lloyd Woodrow Beach Sr. and Marion Geneva Dyer Beach. Mr. Beach retired as a painter and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Beach is survived by a son, James Jasper Beach Jr. and wife, Lisa, of Gaffney; three daughters, Tammy Beach Lloyd of Union, Stacie Beach and Sandy Beach, both of Gaffney; four brothers, Jack Beach of Spartanburg, Lloyd Woodrow Beach Jr., of California, Robert Charles Beach of Gaffney, and John Owen Beach of Cowpens; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Beach was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Michael James Hickerson.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 1st, 2016, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 2nd, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the James Beach Funeral Fund, c/o Gordon Mortuary, PO Box 428, Blacksburg, SC 29702.

The family will be at the home of Stacie Beach, 120 Millwood Lane, Gaffney, SC 29340.
