James Floyd

Blacksburg -- James Curtis Floyd, Jr., 63, of 708 West Cherokee Street, passed away Friday, October 25th, 2013 at his residence. Born in Spartanburg, he was married to Karen Pannell Floyd of the home and the son of James Curtis Floyd, Sr. of Spartanburg and the late Dorothy Lucille Floyd. He worked as a maintenance tech and was a member of St. John United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife and father, Mr. Floyd is survived by six daughters, Dawn Floyd of Charlotte, Jamie Floyd of Spartanburg, Andee West of Spartanburg, Erin Shafer of Lawrenceville, GA, Heather Floyd of Lawrenceville, GA, and Brittany Floyd of Blacksburg; two step-sons, Shane Harmon of Lilburn, GA and Jeremy Harmon of Easley; a brother, Wayne Floyd, of Spartanburg; four sisters, Lila Price of Spartanburg, Barbara Shaffer of Leesville, SC; Debbie Floyd of Florence, and Tammie Matthews of Spartanburg; and ten grandchildren. Memorial services for Mr. Floyd will he held Sunday, October 27th, 2013, at 6:00 pm at St. John United Methodist Church with Rev. Don Boshell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's United Methodist Church Choir, PO Box 703, Blacksburg, SC 29702. The family will be at the residence.
