James McAbee

Gaffney -- James Edward McAbee, 55, of 339 Starr Ridge Road, passed away Friday, November 25th, 2016, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Donna Wright McAbee and the son of the Willis McAbee, Jr. and Jessie Foster McAbee. Mr. McAbee worked as a Foreman for SCDOT and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. McAbee is survived by a daughter, Felicia Jackson; a brother, Larry McAbee; two sisters, Linda Wynn and Becky Parker; all of Gaffney; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 27th, 2016, from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, South Carolina 29702. Graveside services will immediately follow at 2:00 pm. at McAbee Family Cemetery, 305 Starr Ridge Road, Gaffney, SC 29340.
