Jennie Moss

Gaffney -- Jennie Genelle Moss, 77, of 1016 Cherokee Avenue, passed away Monday, March 6th, 2017, at her home. Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Moss and Gladys Byars Moss. Miss Moss retired as a Seamstress and was a member of Christian Heights Baptist Church. Surviving Ms. Moss are one brother, George Moss, of Gaffney; one niece, Shelly Kearse and husband, Chris, of Gaffney; two nephews, Devon Moss and Wesley Moss and wife, Pamela, all of Gaffney; four grandchildren, Jackson and Allirae Kearse, Leeanna Peeler, and JJ Moss; and many other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ms. Moss was preceded in death by her siblings: Betty Jo Sanlin, James Dewey (JD) Moss, Clara Jeanette Moss, Donald Lee Moss, and Charles Larry Moss, and a special nephew, Chris Moss. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 9th, 2017, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Christian Heights Baptist Church, 605 6th Street, Gaffney, South Carolina 29340. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Joe Sparks, Rev. William Blanton, and Elder George Moss officiating. Interment will follow at Draytonville Baptist Church Cemetery. Phillip Moss, Joseph Moss, Shane Mullinax, Conner Mullinax, Dewey Sanlin, and Stephen Moss will serve as pallbearers. The family will be at the residence.
