Jimmy McDaniel

Gaffney -- Jimmy McDaniel, 79, passed away Monday, May 15th, 2017, at Brookview Healthcare Center. He was the son of the late Boyce and Bertha Bolin McDaniel. Mr. McDaniel retired from Timken and was a member of East Gaffney Baptist Church. Jimmy also served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1961. Surviving Mr. McDaniel is one son, David McDaniel and wife, Sharon, of Smyrna; one daughter, Melody Clopton and husband, Dan, of Gaffney; three brothers, Ferman McDaniel of Gaffney, Gene McDaniel and wife, Judy, of Rocky Mount, NC, and Eddie McDaniel and wife, Patricia, of Gaffney; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. McDaniel was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Henry McDaniel and four sisters, Jennie Mae Parker, Nellie Pruett, Rose Stewart, and Helen McDaniel. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 17th, 2017, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at East Gaffney Baptist Church. Memorial services will immediately follow at 2:00 pm with Dr. Gary Rogers officiating. Memorials may be made to East Gaffney Baptist Church, 2308 Cherokee Ave, Gaffney, SC 29340.
