Blacksburg -- Johnnie Sullivan (Butch) Ellis, 66, passed away January 5th, 2011 at his residence at 954 West Pine Street, Blacksburg SC. Born in Gaffney, Mr. Ellis was the son of the late John Robert and Thelma Pauline Roark Ellis and spouse of Delta Agnes Batchler of the home. He worked as Quality Control Technician at Vulcan Materials and was a member of Mt. Paran Baptist Church. Mr. Ellis is survived by daughters Janet Davis and Farrah Bauman of Blacksburg; sisters Linda Harris and Kathy Beattie of Blacksburg; brother Keith Ellis of Blacksburg; Seven grandchildren--Bryan, Zachary, Emma, and Joseph Bauman, Todd White, and Hunter and Gracie Davis. The family will receive friends at Gordon Mortuary from 1:00 PM until 2:45 PM Saturday. Funeral services will be held after the receiving at 3:00 PM at Gordon Mortuary with Rev. Jay Clever officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Paran Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Hunter Davis, Todd White, Bryan and Zachary Bauman, Johnny and Robbie Beattie, Josh and Jonathan Harris.
