Kenneth McCraw

Blacksburg -- Kenneth Wayne McCraw, 83, of 100 Plonk Street, passed away Sunday, September 28th, 2014, at Regional Hospice Home. Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Martha Putman McCraw, the son of the late Thomas and Mary Allison McCraw, and he was a member of Cherokee Falls Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Mr. McCraw is survived by two sons, Phillip Wayne McCraw and wife, Ann, of Gaffney and Jason William McCraw and wife, Jennifer, of Boiling Springs, SC; one daughter, Debe McCraw Hambright and husband, Joe, of Anderson, SC; nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. McCraw was preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis Clary McCraw; a son, Brian Keith McCraw; two brothers, Thomas Foster McCraw and Jerry Leonard McCraw; and one sister, Elinta McCraw Poole. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 30th, 2014, from 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm at Cherokee Falls Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Tim Knotts officiating. Interment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens. Bryan Tindall, Barry Lanier, Phillip Ellis, Randy White, Terry Martin, Eddie McDaniel, Jeff Broome, and Phillip Goodson will serve as pallbearers. The Adult Men's Sunday School Class of Cherokee Falls Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will be at the residence. Memorials may be made to the Cherokee Falls Baptist Church Fellowship Building Fund, 109 School Street, Blacksburg, SC 29702. The Book of Memories is available at www.gordonmortuary.com.
