Gaffney -- Landen Marshall Wentz, infant, of 2548 S. Post Road, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2009 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Mr. Wentz was the son of Angela Wentz of the home. Also surviving are two brothers, Michael Dale Bowen and Joshua Cody Ayers; a sister, Destiny Shea Ayers; maternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Jeffery Scott and Barbara Painter Sessoms of Shelby; and his maternal grandfather, John Wentz of Blacksburg. The family will receive friends Thursday evening at Gordon Mortuary from 7 until 8:30. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 12, 2009, at 2 PM at Mountain View Cemetery with Rev. Gregg Martin officiating. Daniel Wentz and Michael Dale Wentz will serve as pallbearers. The family will be at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Landen Wentz Burial Fund, c/o Gordon Mortuary, PO Box 428, Blacksburg, SC 29702. The family will be at their respective homes.
