Blacksburg -- Lillian McDaniel Walker, 92, of 1010 Old Chester Road, passed away Thursday, February 23rd, 2017, at the Peachtree Centre. Born in Blacksburg, she was the widow of Ernest Yvan Walker and the daughter of the late Ed and Sallie Belle McDaniel. Mrs. Walker was a homemaker and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. Surviving Mrs. Walker are two sons, Ernest Walker Jr. and wife, Linda, of Anderson and Yvan Walker and wife, Judy, of Blacksburg; three grandchildren, Scott Walker and wife, Sarah, of Fredericksburg, VA, Michael Walker of Greenville, and Julie Foster and husband, Wes, of Blacksburg; and four great-grandchildren,Kyle and Bentley Walker and Riley and Lily Foster. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 26th, 2017, from 1:30 pm - 2:45 pm in the sanctuary of Hopewell Baptist Church, 511 Old Chester Road Blacksburg, SC 29702. Graveside services will immediately follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Eddie Bolin officiating. Scott Walker, Michael Walker, Wes Foster, Kelly Horne, Sam Rumfelt, and James Edward Martin will serve as pallbearers.
