Linda Duffie

Blacksburg -- Linda Diane Duffie, 66, of Blacksburg, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 30th, 2010 at her residence. Born in Gaffney, Mrs. Duffie was the wife of the late Carl Dean Duffie and the daughter of the late Finney Hamlet and Mary "Mary Wilue" Coker Blanton. She was a retired cafeteria worker at Blacksburg Middle School, where she served for 21 years. Mrs. Duffie was also a member of Blue Branch Baptist Church. Mrs. Duffie is survived by a son, Dean Duffie, of Blacksburg; two daughters, Frances Coffee of Blacksburg and Mary Ward of Gaffney; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jimmy Dean Blanton, of Gaffney. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 1st, 2010 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 2nd, at 2:00pm in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 1612 North Limestone Street, Gaffney, SC 29340. The family will be at 544 Rock Springs Road, Blacksburg. The Book of Memories is available at www.gordonmortuary.com.
