Gaffney -- Margie Mullinax McKown, 54, of 105 Palmetto Street, passed away Thursday, November 17th, 2016, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of Richard D. McKown Sr. and the daughter of Shirley T. Mullinax and the late Bobby Mullinax. Mrs. McKown worked as a homemaker and was a member of Mt. Ararat Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, Mrs. McKown is survived by a son, Richard D. McKown Jr. and wife, Amanda, and three sisters, Jeannie Rollins and husband, E.J., Versie Teague, and Bobbie Jo Wright and husband, Scott, all of Gaffney. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 19th, 2016, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Graveside services will be held Sunday, November 20th, 2016 at 3:00 pm in the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Wright officiating. Scott Wright, Jamie Bridges, Ivan Hoey, Nicholas Wright, Brandon Teague, Dean McAbee, and Jason Carr will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to The National Kidney Foundation, Finance Department, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016. The family will be at the residence.
