Martha Goodson

Gaffney -- Martha Leona Leagon Goodson, 84, of 521 West Montgomery Street, passed away Friday, October 6th, 2017, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born in Blacksburg, she was the daughter of the late Cefus McKinley Leagon and Lelia Mae Bolton Leagon. Mrs. Goodson formerly worked in textiles and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving Mrs. Goodson are a son, Eddie Goodson and wife, Teresa, of Blacksburg; a daughter, Tammy Jackson and husband, Jimmy, of Gaffney; two brothers, Pete Leagon and Junior Leagon Jr, both of Blacksburg; two sisters, Luella Ricker and Evaleen Blackwell, both of Blacksburg; and two grandsons, Aaron and Bradley White. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Goodson was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Goodson. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 9th, 2017, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 10th, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Eddie Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Moss Cemetery. Bruce Goodson, Danny Goodson, Brent Evans, Jacob Jackson, Bradley White, Nicholas Lamb, Tommy Spencer, and Earl Jackson will serve as pallbearers. The family will be at their respective homes.
