Mary Jean Harrison

Gaffney - Mary Jean Parker Horn Harrison, 86, of 106 Green River Road, Gaffney, passed away Wednesday, September 18th, 2013 at Upstate Carolina Medical Center. Born in Gaffney, Mrs. Harrison was the widow of AJ Horn and Roy Harrison and the daughter of the late Oliver and Mary Eulala Jones Parker. She worked as office manager for McCraw Oil Company and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Mrs. Harrison is survived by three daughters, Sandra Wyatt and husband Larry, Sheila Smalley and husband Bernard, and Sharon Smalley, all of Gaffney; one brother, Charles Jones Parker of Floral City, FL; 6 grandchldren, Eric Smalley and wife Kristyn, Jennifer Taylor and husband Shawn, Heather Wyatt, Kevin Wyatt, and Benjamin Wyatt, all of Gaffney, and David Smalley and wife Ashley of Cowpens; and 10 great-grandchildren, AJ Noah, MaKenna, C.J., Soleil, Isabella, Mayson, Landon, Austin, and Aiden. She was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Hulsey and an infant son. The family will receive friends Friday, September 20th, 2013 from 3:00pm - 4:00pm at Macedonia Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 4:00pm at Macedonia Baptist Church with Dr. Terry Duvall, Rev. Parker Hulsey, and Rev. Phil Gallman officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Open Arms Foster Parent Association, PO Box 322, Gaffney, SC 29342 or Shriners Hospital, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605. The family will be at the residence.
