Blacksburg -- Mary Marjorie Martin Bolin Mullinax, 81, of 111 Hardin Trail, passed away Sunday, September 28th, 2014, at her residence. She was a kind and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Born in Smyrna, she was the wife of James (J.C.) Mullinax and the daughter of the late Colonel Ace Martin and Lily Jane Moseley Martin. Mrs. Mullinax retired from textiles and was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Mullinax is survived by three sons, Glenn Bolin and wife, Janice, of Blacksburg, John Wayne Bolin and wife, Glendy, of Gaffney, and Roger Bolin and wife, Debbie, of Smyrna; one daughter, Mary Francis Walker and husband, Tim, of Smyrna; two step-sons, Kenny and Ralph Mullinax of Blacksburg; one sister, Betty Keuerleber, of Forest City, NC; two brothers, W.T. Martin of Smyrna and Charlie Martin of Blacksburg; ten grandchildren, three of whom were raised in the home, five step-grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren, In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mullinax was preceded in death by a son, Marvin G. Bolin; three brothers, Henry, Frank, and J.D. Martin; one sister, Lorene Dover; her first husband, John Robert Bolin; and one great-grandchild. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 30th, 2014, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 1st, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Smyrna Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Clayton and Rev. Todd Bolin officiating. Interment will follow at Canaan United Methodist Church Cemetery. Kevin Bolin, Greg Bolin, Travis White, James Martin, Charles Martin, John Robert Bolin, and Marvin Bolin Jr. will serve as pallbearers.
