Hickory Grove -- Mason Leon Moss, 74, of 11886 Smith Ford Road, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 3, 2012, at Piedmont Hospital. Born in Hickory Grove, Mr. Moss was the husband of Frances Humphries Moss of the home and the son of the late Mason Logan "Zeke" and Wilma Hardin Moss. Mr. Moss retired from textiles, was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his wife of 53 years, Mr. Moss is survived by a son, Rocky Lynn Moss, of Hickory Grove; two daughters, Janet Marie Hall of Gaffney and Carol Renee Manning of Grover; two brothers, Melvin Moss of Hickory Grove and Donald Eugene Moss of Prosperity, SC; a sister, Katherine Lois Moss, of Clinton; and six grandchildren. Mr. Moss was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Bradley Lynn Moss. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 5, 2012, from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Mike Goodwin and Rev. Joel Hall officiating. Interment will be in the Unity Baptist Church Cemetery. Chris Lanier, Brian Manning, Jason Moss, Eddie Ramsey, Stevie Ramsey, Ian Sidebottom, and Brandon Bish will serve as pallbearers.
