Gaffney -- Michael Ray Peterson, 38, of 385 Mayfield Road, passed away October 23rd, 2013 at his residence. Born in Odessa, TX, he was married to Nancy Mae Peterson of the home and the son of Pete and Darlene Peterson of Odessa, TX. He previously worked as a floor installer and was a member of Blue Branch Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Mr. Peterson is survived by a daughter, Missy Owens of Gaffney; a son, Carl Owens, of the home; two sisters, Linda Manning and Wanda Biggs, both of Gaffney; two brothers, Johnny Biggs of Wyoming and Virgil Lynn Peterson; and two grandchildren. Mr. Peteson was preceded in death by a sister, Candus Ramsey of Gaffney. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 27th, 2013 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will he held Monday, October 28th, at 4:00 pm in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Eddie Smith officiating.
