Mildred Martin

Grover -- Mildred Louise Martin, 77, of 226 Hardin Circle, passed away December 25th, 2010 at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain. Born in Grover, Mrs. Martin was the wife of J.D. Martin of the home and the daughter of the late Jesse James and Viola Bolin Mullinax. She retired as a textile employee, where she folded bed spreads, and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Martin is survived by two sons, David Bruce Martin of Grover and Terry Neron Martin of Kings Mountain; a daughter, Rose Martin Dixon, of Grover; one sister, Betty Turner, of Blacksburg; one grandson, Phillip Wade Martin, Jr.; and one granddaughter, Sabrina Martin. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by a son, Phillip W. Martin Sr., and a sister, Wilma Mullinax Lovelace. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 28, 2010 from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM at Gordon Mortuary. Graveside services will be Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Grover City Cemetery with Rev. Scott Hardin officiating. The family will be at the residence.
