Blacksburg -- Mildred Dixon Vinesett, 81, of 207 Sunset Drive, passed away Saturday, May 21st, 2016, at her residence. Born in Blacksburg, she was the widow of John L. Vinesett and the daughter of the late Frank and Lillie Bolin Dixon. Surviving Mrs. Vinesett are two daughters, Beverly Pennington of the home and Laurel Romero of Phoenix City, AL; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and lots of nieces and nephews., In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Vinesett was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Dixon and Helen Bridges, and two brothers, Jack and Joe Dean Dixon. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 23rd, 2016, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 24th, 2016 at 4:00 pm in the Grassy Pond Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Shane Cleapor officiating. The family will be at the residence.
