Gaffney -- Louise White Moore (Granny Moore), 80, of 871 Old Racetrack Road, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2010, at 547 Whites Road in Gaffney. Born in Spartanburg, Mrs. Moore was the daughter of the late Andy John and Effie Lee Johnson White. She was retired from textiles and was a member of Goucher Baptist Church. Surviving Mrs. Moore are three daughters, Ophelia Blackwood of Gaffney, Carolyn Messer of Gaffney, and Peggy Hawkins of Enoree; four step-daughters, Vickie Benton of Gaffney, Maxine Owens of Gaffney, Ann Mullinax of Blacksburg, and Marie Hughey of Gaffney; three step-sons, Timmy Williams, Daniel Waters, and Martin Williams Jr., all of Gaffney; two sisters, Tine Hall of Spartanburg and Sarah Peterson of Palm Coast, FL; 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by a son, John Williams; a daughter, Effie Harris; a great-grandson, Andy Lowry; and a brother, Benjamin Williams. The family will be receiving friends at the residence on Monday anytime after 2 PM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at 3 PM at Goucher Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be at the residence. The Book of Memories is available at www.gordonmortuary.com.
