Nora Moss

Gaffney -- Nora Wright Moss, 100, formerly of 411 West Pine Street in Blacksburg, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at the Peachtree Centre. Mrs. Moss was the widow of Grady Moss and the daughter of the late Leander Pinkney and Ila Mae Whelchel Wright. Nora lived in Charlotte for many years prior to moving to Blacksburg. She was an excellent cook and loved crafts and operated the "Hobby Shop" for several years. Nora was a happy person with a cheerful laugh. Mrs. Moss' faith was important to her. She loved to read her Bible, sing Christian songs, and she was active in the Blacksburg Church of God as long as her health allowed. Although she has only two immediate survivors, her sisters, Thelma Wright Blanton and June Ann Randolph, both of Raleigh, NC, Nora was a loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She loved her family dearly and loved spending time with them. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Moss was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and Manuel Wright; and five sisters, Bobbie Sue Page, Judy Mae Plesh, Nannie Bell Rippy, Virgie Wylie, and Mildred Caudell. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 27, 2012 at 1:00PM in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel, with Rev. Tommy Wright officiating. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery.
